I have virtually all packages received by Japan Rabbit on my behalf moved to Blackship, which means that all of the customs categorization work completed by JR on my behalf has been a waste of time and effort.
I know that the customs categorization at Japan Rabbit may be an (at least partially) automated process that uses keywords from the item name as detected from the provided URL or else input by the user. Even so, I believe there is an efficiency concern because on a few ocassions, I have had to wait days for customs categorization to be completed manually for packages containing items without obvious names - only for that employee's work to become wasted when I finally had the package transferred to Blackship.
For the sake of avoiding this waste of employees' effort, Japan Rabbit should allow its users to indicate intention to transfer their received packages to Blackship earlier in the order process, instead of having every received package automatically queued for customs categorization.
I'm imagining a system where users can mark a "bound for Blackship" checkbox during checkout, which prevents any associated packages from automatically queuing up for customs categorization.
Then, after the relevant package's arrival to the warehouse, the package should appear to users in a "Blackship-bound" status where the only requestable actions for it are:
"Consolidate then transfer to Blackship" which can only be done once per package (as with current JR consolidation requests)
"Transfer to Blackship" the same as there is currently
or "Return to Japan Rabbit" which adds the package to JR's customs categorization queue so that it can be handled on the JR side all the way until export
I am possibly a fringe case, but aside from my general aversion to wasting others' time, I am concerned about this because I am currently in the situation where one of my JR packages is being held for days to be manually categorized for customs and in the meantime, I'm about to start accruing paid storage fees for other, earlier-arrived packages that I plan to consolidate the customs-pending one with, before transferring everything in my JR mailbox to Blackship all at once.
I have a strong preference for consolidating all JR packages into one before transferring to Blackship in order to minimize the number of times that I must pay Blackship's package receiving and consolidation fees.
I'm put into the situation where I must choose between paying Japan Rabbit storage fees or paying multiple Blackship fees, just because I'm waiting on an employee to waste their time filling out customs information which will be erased as soon as it's completed.
